How It Started

From Handyman to Soft Wash Pro

Before Osborne Pro Wash, there was Kyle's Handyman Service. I started doing handyman and remodeling work back in 2004, and for a while it was a good living. But a few years in, I started to feel burned out. The work was hard to do efficiently and profitably, finding good help when I needed it was a constant struggle, and I lost count of how many times I had to run to Home Depot five or six times for one simple project.

Over the years, customers kept asking if I did any power washing. They wanted their siding cleaned. I always turned it down, because I knew pressure washing siding was not the right way to clean it, so I just said no.

Then I stumbled onto soft washing. I had no idea there was an entire industry built around doing it the right way. I started reading everything I could find, watching videos, joining groups, and before long I was hooked. In 2017, I went all in. I bought the best equipment I could afford and added soft washing and pressure washing to the business, hoping it would grow enough that I could close the handyman doors for good.

It took off immediately. I have not done a handyman job since. Kyle's Handyman Service closed, and Osborne Pro Wash was born. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Honestly, I wish I had found this work back in high school. Even nine years later, I still get satisfaction out of every single job. I am still amazed that I get to help people solve a problem, do work I genuinely enjoy, and get paid to do it.

Why I Stay Local

Your Neighbor, Not a Far-Off Company

I keep my work as close to home as possible, and there are two big reasons for that. First, it just makes sense with my time. I have no desire to drive 45 minutes or an hour to do a job that takes about that long, then drive all the way back. In the time it would take to make that round trip, I could complete two or three jobs closer to home. It also is not fair to charge a customer more money simply because they live farther away.

Second, it comes down to taking care of people. If there is ever an issue, it is a whole lot easier to drive 10 or 15 minutes back to a customer's home and make it right than it is to drive an hour each way. There are so many homes and businesses within 15 to 20 minutes of where I live that staying local has never held me back. It has only made me better at what I do.

My Family

Rooted in the Little Miami Community

My wife Karen and I both grew up in Mason, Ohio and graduated together in 1995. Karen is a teacher in the Little Miami School District. We have two amazing daughters, Abigail and Emmalyn, who both attend Little Miami High School.

Abigail is a senior and an outstanding softball player who enjoys basketball too. Emmalyn is a sophomore and is incredible in competition cheer and tumbling. The three of them stay deeply involved in school and community activities, and that is one more reason I have committed to keeping my business local. When your family is this connected to the area, it only makes sense to serve it.

Supporting the Businesses and Teams Around Us

As a local small business owner, supporting other local small businesses matters a great deal to me. You can see a number of them on my Local Businesses We Trust page. Many of them are good friends, and we genuinely enjoy supporting one another.

With Karen and the girls so involved in the local schools and athletics, I have been proud to support many of the area sports teams and organizations over the years, and I plan to keep doing exactly that.
